What is LIBA ?

Liberal Arts Program Student Association

The Liberal Arts Program Student Association (LAPSA) is a community of students dedicated to celebrating and promoting the interdisciplinary nature of the Liberal Arts program at McGill University. Our program offers a broad yet deeply engaging education in the humanities, allowing students to explore literature, history, philosophy, culture, and the arts from a global perspective. With an emphasis on critical thinking, cross-disciplinary inquiry, and effective communication, Liberal Arts equips students with the tools to understand and engage with the world in meaningful ways.

At LAPSA, we believe that the Liberal Arts major opens doors to endless possibilities. Whether through scholarly research, artistic expression, or philosophical inquiry, our program fosters intellectual curiosity and creativity. Our website serves as a space for students to share their work, whether it be academic essays, poetry, visual art, or creative projects—demonstrating the diverse skills and perspectives that this field nurtures.

By bringing together passionate students, we aim to showcase the power of a well-rounded education that bridges disciplines, encourages dialogue, and prepares individuals for a variety of careers, from academia and the arts to politics, finance, and beyond.

Join us in celebrating the richness of the Liberal Arts—where every idea, every perspective, and every voice matters.
